NitroEurope - or NEU for short - is a project for integrated European research into the nitrogen cycle. NitroEurope is part of the EU's Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, and will run for 5 years from February 2006 until 2011.

JRC is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to work on the simulation of trace gas fluxes from terrestrial ecosystems in Europe. The tasks will include to contribute to the improvement of models that comprehensively assess the nitrogen and carbon cycles in forest and agricultural systems at the regional and global scale, and to contribute to the development of meta-models combining results of various models, field observations and remote sensing products into a consistent and integrated modeling framework.
