This event is the First Open Science Conference of the
International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme¹s project 'Analysis\, Integration
and Modelling of the Earth System' (AIMES)\, run in cooperation with QUEST\, the
UK Natural Environment Research Council's directed programme for Earth system
science.
The conference will showcase recent advances in the
understanding of Earth system dynamics and highlight new directions for the
analysis of the interactions between humans and our environment.
I am pleased
to invite you to my PhD thesis defense\, which will take place on the 27th
of May 2010\, at the Pierre et Marie Curie
university in Paris (France)\,
and to the subsequent drink.
I will
present the results of my PhD work\, entitled “Ammonia and pesticides
volatilization from agricultural fields. Analysis and modeling of the influence
of the surface physical properties and conditions with the Volt'Air model”\, for
